Free cold message generator for web designers

By ULeads team · Published

Describe the business as its Google listing shows it — website or not, photos, reviews, rating — choose what you sell, and the generator writes a short first message built on one true fact about them, with follow-up, last-try and after-proposal messages. It also scores the business 0–100 with the same Lead Score ULeads uses.

Why does a specific first message work better?

A business owner deletes “I can help your business grow” because a hundred people sent it. A message that says “you have 4.8 stars from 212 reviews but no website, so people who find you on Google Maps can't see your prices” shows you looked, gives them a reason, and is true. Every template here is built that way: it only uses what the listing shows, and claims nothing about traffic or rankings it can't know.

What does each message do?

The four messages
MessageWhenWhat it does
FirstDay 1One fact from their listing, what you do, one question
Follow-upDay 3–4Points back to the first message and repeats the free offer
Last tryA week laterSays it is the last message and leaves the door open
After proposal2–3 days after a quoteAsks for a decision and offers a smaller first step

How is the Lead Score calculated?

From six signals on the listing: a base of 20, plus 40 with no website, 15 with fewer than 5 photos, 15 with fewer than 20 reviews, 10 with a rating below 4.0 and 10 when a phone number is listed. A business without a website, with 3 photos and 12 reviews scores 100 — start with those. The full table is on the Lead Score page.

Where do you find businesses to send it to?

On Google Maps, by searching a trade in a town and checking each listing for a website — or with ULeads, which does the searching, marks the businesses without a website and fills this message in for each one. The step-by-step method is in how to find local businesses without a website, and our data by country and trade shows where they are most common.

Common questions

What makes a good first message to a local business?

One true fact from their own listing (no website, a few photos, a handful of reviews), what you do in one line, and one easy question — like whether they would like a free mockup. Short enough to read on a phone, with nothing they have to click.

Should I send it on WhatsApp, by email or call?

Where the business answers. Many local businesses list only a phone number, and in much of the world that number is on WhatsApp. Calling works too: the same three parts make a 20-second opener.

How many times should I follow up?

Two or three times, a few days apart, then stop. Most replies come on the second or third message; the last one should say it is the last and leave the door open.

Is this generator free?

Yes, without an account, and nothing you type leaves your browser. In ULeads the same messages are filled in automatically from each business's real Google Maps listing.

ULeads searches a city and a trade on Google Maps, keeps going past the first page until it finds real prospects, and ranks every business by how weak its online presence is.
